The Morgan Dollar is one of the most recognizable coins in the world, captivating with its timeless elegance. Its striking motif is further emphasized by its delicate, yet more expansive cutouts. The Morgan Dollar consists of 90 percent pure silver and 10 percent copper. Today, it stands as a reminiscence of the monetary history of the United States, as it was entirely in the interest of the "Silver Party" and the silver mine owners, who lobbied intensively for its minting and preservation.

Originally, starting in 1873—the year of the "Coinage Act," also known as the "Crime of '73"—the regulation to mint only gold coins was in place. The American gold and silver standard had ended, and the monetary system in the United States was facing fundamental reform. However, with another law, the Treasury Department decided to purchase domestic silver worth at least two million dollars a month and process it into coins. Thus, the Morgen Silver Dollar was born.
